Before the pressed honeycomb core material is used for sandwich structure, it is cut into strips of a certain width by a paper cutter according to the height of the required core material, and then stretched into a honeycomb hole shape, placed in the dipping tank, and impregnated with the appropriate concentration of impregnating glue for 1 to 2 minutes. The honeycomb wall material must be impregnated, and multiple impregnations may be used to control a certain volume weight and strength.
After dipping, it can be used for the dry molding of sandwich structures after heating and curing on the plate or molding die as required. For the core material impregnated with polyester resin system, it can be directly used for sandwich structure (wet forming) after impregnation and curing.
When manufacturing large-area or special-shaped products, it is sometimes necessary to splice them in order to meet the requirements of the outer size. A small amount of glue can be applied to the splice, fixed with a clamp (heated or without heating) to apply pressure, and the glue can be cured.
